COUPLE'S THERAPY

Studies show that in the hands of a good counselor, marriage counseling is successful 70- 80% of the time.

Deep intimacy is the experience of feeling safe and being deeply known by another person. Intimacy requires vulnerability. Vulnerability requires security and trust. A relationship suffers when any of those elements breakdown.

My training in PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy), DARe (Dynamic Re-patterning Attachment Experience) and Somatic Experiencing™, have provided expertise in helping couples heal. A secure and well functioning relationship includes a sense of security, intimacy and growth. An injured relationship can be healed if two factors are present – both people want the relationship and both can identify responsibility for the current state of the relationship. If those elements are present, I can provide the tools for healing and beyond.

I HELP COUPLES LEARN, GROW AND HEAL WHEN THEY:

• Have had a breakdown in communication,

• Have had or are having an affair, suffered betrayal or loss of trust,

• Are stuck in a pattern of hurting each other and unable to understand it or stop,

• One or both partners have childhood trauma or early family dynamics that interfere with their ability to experience intimacy as an adult(s).
